Hire Possibilities Home — Terms of Service
1. Scope of Services
Hire Possibilities Home (“HPH”) provides coordination, consultation, and connection services between clients and independent service professionals, including but not limited to handy services, cleaning, yard work, and property oversight support. HPH may also perform certain services directly when operating under its general contractor license.
2. Independent Contractors
Many service providers referred or scheduled through HPH are independent contractors and are not employees of HPH. While we carefully vet professionals for quality, reliability, and licensing (when applicable), HPH is not responsible for the actions, omissions, or performance of independent contractors.
3. Estimates & Scope of Work
All estimates are based on the information available at the time of booking. Additional work, materials, or unforeseen conditions may result in changes to the scope and cost. Clients will be notified and approval will be obtained before proceeding with additional work whenever possible.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger projects or ongoing services, deposits or retainer agreements may be required. Late payments may result in service delays or additional fees.
5. Retainer & Property Oversight Services
Retainer-based services provide ongoing support such as coordination, consultation, scheduling, and oversight. Retainer fees are for time, access, and availability, and are not solely tied to completed tasks. Unused time may not roll over unless explicitly stated in the agreement.
6. Access & Site Conditions
Clients are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property. HPH and its service providers reserve the right to refuse or pause work if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, or outside the agreed scope.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee to compensate for reserved time.
8. Materials & Client-Supplied Items
Unless otherwise agreed, materials may be sourced by HPH or the service provider. If a client provides materials, HPH is not responsible for defects, delays, or compatibility issues related to those materials.
9. Warranty & Workmanship
HPH may offer a limited workmanship guarantee on services performed directly by HPH. Work completed by independent contractors may be subject to their individual warranties. Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or issues outside the original scope of work.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HPH’s liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered. HPH is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Insurance & Licensing
HPH maintains appropriate licensing, bonding, and insurance where required. Independent contractors are expected to maintain their own licensing and insurance, though clients are encouraged to request verification if desired.
12. Communication & Approvals
HPH may act as a coordinator or liaison on behalf of the client; however, final decisions and approvals remain the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.
13. Changes to Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
