Hire Possibilities Home at the Women in Trades Fair 2026: Building Connections and Growing Community
Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the Women in Trades Fair, and we're still smiling about it. As first-time exhibitors, we weren't quite sure what to expect. What we found was an incredible community of skilled tradespeople, aspiring professionals, industry leaders, and organizations all working toward a common goal: creating more opportunities in the skilled trades.
Throughout the day, we had dozens of conversations about home repairs, handyman services, entrepreneurship, careers in the trades, and the mission behind Hire Possibilities Home.
One of the core missions of Hire Possibilities Home is creating opportunities for skilled handy people to build sustainable careers and businesses. While we're passionate about supporting women in the trades, we're always looking to connect with talented professionals of all backgrounds who take pride in their work and care about delivering excellent service to customers.
Many people were excited to learn about our unique model, where we help support independent handy people by handling many of the "front of house" responsibilities such as customer service, scheduling, billing, marketing, lead generation, and administrative support. This allows skilled professionals to focus on what they do best while maintaining flexibility and control over their schedules.
The Women in Trades Fair gave us the opportunity to meet people from a wide range of backgrounds: those already working in the trades, individuals considering a career change, students exploring opportunities, and organizations supporting workforce development throughout the Seattle area. We loved hearing people's stories, learning about their goals, and sharing more about the kinds of projects our team tackles throughout Seattle.
One of the unexpected highlights of the day was seeing interest in my new book, The Self-Aware Interview. Someone asked me to sign their copy for the first time (pictured below)! As a first-time author, it was a moment that I'll remember for a long time.
Events like the Women in Trades Fair remind us why we started Hire Possibilities Home in the first place. We're passionate about helping homeowners, supporting skilled professionals, and creating opportunities for people to thrive in careers that work for their lives. To everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, shared your story, purchased a book, or expressed interest in working with us: thank you.
We're excited to continue growing our community and supporting homeowners and tradespeople throughout Seattle. If you're a skilled handy person, contractor, cleaner, gardener, or trades professional looking for flexible opportunities, we'd love to connect.
